Today iam going to discuss about the websites of fake and scam banks, and its hosting company.
Scammers are developing new and advanced techniques for their online cheating business from past five years respectively. The web hosting companies preferred by criminals change over time. In 2003, most scam domains were hosted by Yahoo/Geocities.Then RediffmailPro (India) gained favor. In late 2004 Microsoft's MSN became the clear favorite. For several months MSN had no working abuse mechanism for MSN Personal Address (PA) domains. This changed: From January to April 2005 we cooperated with a fellow anti-fraud activist and together we managed to get MSN to clean up its act. On 2005-09-06 MSN put in place some changes that effectively stopped new domain registration by 419 scammers. However, the first fraud domains have shown up on Office Live, another arm of MSN/Hotmail, which offers free hosting. During one week in April 2007, about half of all new scam domains we came across were hosted at Office Live. Some domains are only used for email communications. For example, there was only a placeholder website for domain johnwadada.com, but the criminals were using email address
mailsenator@johnwadada.com. Other domains have actual websites, such as http://www.firstcapitalft.com, which was a fake bank where you could open an account with a minimum deposit of $4500, but never get that money back. Scammers ask their victims to open an account there promising that millions of dollars from their side (Nigerian government money, inheritance from a stranger, etc.) will be transferred into it. The criminals pocket the money and ignore the "bank customer".
in the following list of domains, unless mentioned otherwise, there is only a default website and the domain is used for email only: The following domains are hosted by Rediffmail. If you receive spam involving email addresses from these domains, you need to complain to Rediffmail (abuse@rediffmailpro.com):
